AWAKE: RETREAT

 

Let us usher in the season of growth, new beginnings, the magic of northern Michigan in spring. Even if it is mud season--Thich Nhat Hanh, the Vietnamese Zen Buddhist spiritual leader, reminds us “No mud, no lotus.” Without suffering through the mud, you cannot find the joy of the lotus. We will gather our bold feminine spirits to create, move, and share stories through art, yoga, sacred circle, and nature.

WHAT WILL THE WEEKEND OFFER:  Every activity is optional. The schedule will be finalized as soon as we have the total count of participants. Retreaters will receive a comprehensive schedule and packing list prior to their arrival.

• Welcome reception with appetizers

• Goodie bag with special gifts to support you throughout the weekend

• At least three yoga offerings (restorative and slow flow for sure, no experience necessary- props and modifications offered)

• Coffee, tea, snacks

• Guided hikes to experience one of the best views in NOMI

• Facilitated art projects

• Journaling, with prompts

• Sacred circles for reflection

• Sound bath

• Free time to explore Gaylord

• We are hopeful to have partners that will offer extra offerings at an additional cost like massage, astrology chart reading and body integration… stay tuned

DATE: Friday, May 3 to Sunday, May 5. Arrive Friday afternoon for an evening of activities. Saturday we will start bright and early and gather into the evening. The retreat will wrap up Sunday by noon. There will be some refreshments and snacks provided, however there will be time in the day for you to eat on your own and explore beautiful Northern Michigan. Stay tuned for a full schedule. 

LOCATION: Otsego Resort: Option to stay on site or off. Lodging is not included in the retreat price. There are plenty of lodging options at varying price points for you and your friends to stay onsite. Link below to the Resort website, plus more details.

***If a cancellation request is received between thirty (30) days and fourteen (14) a refund of the retreat cost minus a $50 administrative fee will be issued. If a cancellation request is received less than fourteen (14) days prior to the start of a retreat, 50% of the retreat cost will be refunded.
